Who We Are
The National Mitigation Banking Association brings together leaders who are committed to a unique concept for restoring and conserving America's wetlands and other natural resources - a concept that unites sound economic and environmental practices.Established in 1998, we promote federal legislation and regulatory policy that encourages mitigation banking and conservation banking as a means of compensating for adverse impacts to our nation's environment.
This commitment is fulfilled through a variety of research, education, and outreach programs sponsored by the NMBA and available exclusively to its members.
What our NMBA Members say about the NMBA...
“Belonging to the NMBA has given me access to top decision makers in the halls of Congress and in the Administration.”
Craig Denisoff- Westervelt Ecological Services
“Success in the emerging mitigation banking industry is dependent on knowing about changing regulations and guidelines as well as networking among other mitigation bankers. Membership in the NMBA is the best way to accomplish both of these goals."
Rich Mogensen- Earthmark Companies
“Every NMBA activity, and every publication, gives me new ideas that more than pays for the cost of membership.”
Mike Rolband- Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc.
“Before joining NMBA, I felt my goals were unreachable. As a member, my voice is now heard and I am helping shape government policies to give mitigation banking a larger role in protecting our environment.”
John Ryan- Land & Water Resources, Inc.
